PODCAST: Deliveroo boss has big, airborne plans for the future of fast food

Mouth-watering episode of everyone's favourite business podcast

Niamh Maher

The Capital B is back and we are ravenous.

There’s absolutely no denying that as a nation we like things fast. From downloads to food, we actually want things faster than fast… we want it immediately and anything slower just won’t do.

This week we’re diving head first into fast food and talking to Mr Supermac himself, Pat McDonagh, he’s offering us an insight into why Supermac’s is so successful and how fresh food is the way forward. There may also be some changes in store for the much-loved Supermac chip (sobs).

We have the founder of Base Wood Fire Pizza Shane Crilly in studio, he talks us through his decision to leave the comfortable confines of family law and devote his time to creating the perfect pizza.

CEO of Freshii Dave O’Donoghue makes a welcome return and tells us why Poke bowls are the next BIG thing in food. And we have the general manager of Deliveroo Ireland Liam Keenan on the panel. So what exactly is in store for the food delivery service in Ireland? One word… drones!

They better NOT drop my burrito.

The Capital B is available every Monday morning from 7 am; listeners can tune in on Soundcloud and can also download and subscribe to the podcast on iTunes and other podcast providers.
