Cheese is great. End of discussion.
However, there has been an ever present concern that it may not be the healthiest thing in the world for you (read: potentially one of THE most unhealthy things in existence).
With that in mind, we've got some good news for you.
In a new overall evaluation of 15 different studies carried out across the EU, and it was discovered that those who eat a small amount of cheese each day are 14 percent less likely to develop coronary heart disease, and their chances of having a stroke were 10 percent lower.
But the real question is, how much exactly is "a small amount of cheese"?
We've probably consider 64 slices of American cheese to be a small amount of cheese...

According to the report, the small amount is 40 grams, or 1.4 ounces of cheese.
They refer to it a "matchbox size portion" of cheese, which is also the equivalent of two slices of cheese. This does not mathematically mean that Homer was being 32 times healthier.
This is in addition to last year's study which showed that during a 12-week period of cheese-eating, there was an increase in their levels of ‘good’ HDL (high-density lipoprotein) during the 12-week period.
