Are you worried about not looking your best when using the iPhone's FaceTime video chat? A canny plastic surgeon has designed a facelift specifically around the service.
While most of us care little for a dishevelled appearance on FaceTime - or if worried about said appearance, neglect to use the function - that hasn't stopped a plastic surgery operation from emerging, one that is designed to shed iPhone users' double chin worries.
Dubbed the 'FaceTime Facelift', US-based plastic surgeon Dr Robert K Sigal devised the procedure after his wife bought an iPhone in 2011.
After his wife moaned that she didn't like how the video chat on the phone accentuated the "fullness" of her face when holding the phone, Dr Sigal created the facelift, which differs from a typical necklife operation in that the incision is not made under the chin but rather behind the ears. We'll let the doctor explain below:
While we applaud Dr Sigal's ingenuity, the odd procedure got us in the JOE office thinking - why not just hold the phone higher than usual for FaceTime so that underneath your chin is barely visible? Oh well, perhaps the wife of Dr Sigal's arms would get tired...
