Does the lady in your life suffer from hay fever? Here’s one good reason why you should be doing everything you can to treat her symptoms.
According to a new survey 1 in 5 Irish people who suffer from hay fever actively avoid having sex when their symptoms kick in.
So if you want to continue enjoying a bit of rumpy pumpy when she’s sneezing, you’d probably do well to have an endless supply of tissues and antihistamines.
The Irish Daily Star reports that the condition may seem harmless, but it can be incredibly frustrating for sufferers.
A new survey revealed that 26 per cent of sufferers have to take time off work, meanwhile 60 per cent experience sleep deprivation when their symptoms begin.
We should probably mention that a quarter of people questioned also said that they tend to argue with their partner more when they’re sniffling and sneezing, so it's probably a good idea to pacify her with tissues and nasal spray in an attempt to keep the peace.
The survey, which was carried out by Prevalin, a natural nasal spray for hay fever, also showed that hay fever impacts at least 78 per cent of Irish people on a daily basis.
“Seasonal allergic rhinitis, also known as hay fever, is a severe debilitating condition that affects 20 per cent of the population,” said Dr Caroline Dore Geraghty, an expert in allergies.
“It is often under-diagnosed, under-treated and underestimated in its severity,” she added.
Some of the tell-tale signs of hay fever include itchy/watery eyes, constant sneezing, tiredness and a runny nose.
Hmm…we can see why people wouldn’t be eager to get down and dirty when they can’t even see really.
Either way, it probably helps to be prepared, so get thee to your nearest chemist and arm yourself with hay fever remedies. Chances are one of you will probably need them at some stage over the coming weeks…
