Dublin gym to auction off its contents at knockdown prices

Everything must go, it’s auction time.

This auction should appeal to anyone who likes to stay fit, whether you’re a long-time gym user and just starting a healthier lifestyle.

Wilsons Auctions, Ireland and the UK’s largest independent auction company, has been given the job of selling off contents from a former fitness centre in Sandyford, Dublin.

They will hold an unreserved sale on Saturday 8 July at 10am which will take place in the former premises of Total Fitness, on the Blackglen Road, Sandyford and also online here.

There are over 500 pieces of leisure equipment up for grabs as well as fixtures and fittings in an auction that will be one of the largest of its kind here in Ireland.

Lots for sale on the day will include 38 Star Trac Spinner Pro Spinning Bikes, 33 Life Fitness 9500HR Treadmills, 31 Life Fitness 9500HR Cross Trainers and 26 Life Fitness 9500HR Bikes.

However, there is a lot more for sale than just fitness equipment and there are some really cool items on the list like swimming pools, saunas, jacuzzies and tanning booths.

Wilsons Auctions General Manager, Ricky Wilson said, “We are delighted to have been instructed to manage the disposal of contents from the former Total Fitness premises in Sandyford, Dublin.

“(It) will feature over 500 Lots making it the largest of its kind in Ireland and with no reserve, could appeal to a range of businesses in the leisure industry as well as sports organisations, personal trainers, schools and colleges.

“We would encourage those interested… to register through our website at least 24 hours prior to the auction and we look forward to welcoming people to the former Total Fitness site, as well as our online bidders on 8 July,” he added.

The items can be viewed on 6 and 7 July between 9am to 6pm and on the morning of 8 July from 9am, with the actual auction taking place one hour later.
