Have “You Got The Balls?” … well come out for the craic!

JOE

Have “You Got The Balls?” for a mens health event with a difference, Mayo stars Andy Moran and Colm Boyle certainly have.

On Tuesday, June 11 as part of Men’s Health Week in the McWilliam Park Hotel, Claremorris, we’re having a men’s health evening. “Youis to promote positive living in mind and body for men across the region. There’ll be music, comedy, speakers, special guests and balls to play with. Ladies can come too of course!

All proceeds from the evening will go to to On the Road Again and Claremorris Mens Shed.

Hermitage Green from Limerick are rising stars on the music scene. Their interests range from traditional Irish folk to metal, and this has formed the basis of an entirely unique approach in how the band delivers their material. They’ve gone from strength to strength selling out venues across Australia, Ireland and the UK.

Gerry Duffy(@32marathons) from Mullingar will give a talk on his experience doing ten IronMan triathlons in 10 days, and 32 marathons in thirty-two days. Sure, no bother to him! Aged 45, Gerry is a professional motivational speaker, ‘goals’ setting coach and writer. It’ll get us all motivated to get off the couches and make some positive change.

Laughs on the night are with comic’s Joe Rooney of Father Ted fame and Daniel Dowling (@dannydowling) who will have your sides splitting! Joe Rooney has been making people laugh for the last fifteen years far and wide. Throw in a few hilarious musical interludes and you have a recipe for comedy genius. Daniel Dowling is funniest New Zealander you’ll see west of the Shannon, and with his version of life in Ireland and a GAA fan that you won’t forget.

Commenting on the initiative, Ballindine Pharmacist, Ultan Molloy outlined” Men’s Health week is a fantastic initiative and it is absolutely essential that we get the message out to men of the benefits of looking after their health and ensuring they lead healthy lifestyles. This unique initiative should assist in getting the message out and will also raise funds for a number of worthy causes”
