Irish comedian gets behind fantastic charity to save young Meath boy’s life

Cian McDonnell needs your help

Eric Lalor

Cian McDonnell is four years old.

Cian, from Carlanstown in Co. Meath,  suffers from a very severe form of Dyskeratosis Congenita. The rare, progressive bone marrow failure syndrome affects one in a million people.

Irish comedian PJ Gallagher has joined an initiative launched by family and friends of Cian.

The newly-launched Get Cracking For Cian social media campaign encourages people to video themselves cracking an egg on their heads and then texting 57802 to donate €2, before nominating five friends to do the same.

PJ told us here in JOE, “Cian is a great young lad who deserves a chance, so if you can spare €2 and one minute of your time, please text the number to help give him that chance.”

So what are you waiting for? Get cracking!

You can keep track of the efforts to raise money by following the Hope for Cian Facebook page.
