Irish comedian gets behind fantastic charity to save young Meath boy's life

Cian McDonnell is four years old.

Cian, from Carlanstown in Co. Meath,  suffers from a very severe form of Dyskeratosis Congenita. The rare, progressive bone marrow failure syndrome affects one in a million people.

Irish comedian PJ Gallagher has joined an initiative launched by family and friends of Cian.

The newly-launched Get Cracking For Cian social media campaign encourages people to video themselves cracking an egg on their heads and then texting 57802 to donate €2, before nominating five friends to do the same.

PJ told us here in JOE, "Cian is a great young lad who deserves a chance, so if you can spare €2 and one minute of your time, please text the number to help give him that chance."
