This challenge is flying by, with only one more full week of training to go the pressure is on.
With all the work I’ve been putting in over the last couple of weeks in particular I’ve been really finding it physically and mentally draining.
It’s always been this way for me though. Even when I was doing my long distance runs, as soon as the finishing line was almost in sight that was where my biggest mental battles would occur.
Even my work colleagues are starting to feel sorry for me now diet wise. I’m not sure how many people could stomach the diet plan I’m on at the moment. For the past three weeks now my daily diet routine has been:
BREAKFAST – Steak / Eggs / Spinach
LUNCH – White fish / Broccoli
DINNER – Chicken / Spinach
LATE NIGHT – White Fish or Chicken / Broccoli or Spinach
That’s ok for a couple of days but it’s now been three weeks with no cheats meals so it’s becoming quite tedious.
Most people have the same question, which is, are you not starving? I’m very rarely hungry. I’ve got into a routine of having my main meals at 8.00am, 1.30pm, 6pm & 9pm with regular Optimum Nutrition supplement intake in between.
I’m putting up with it all though because it is starting to work. My body at first was very reluctant to give up the belly it’s become quite so fond of over the years, however, slowly but surely I'm getting rid of it.
I’m almost scared to think of what Dan might have in store for me next week though. If there are more giant sets for me to do he will make me do them for sure. Pray for me.
