Yet another reason to cutback on the calories.
When it comes to losing weight, eating less seems like a pretty intuitive course of action. A new study has shown, however, that cutting back on the extra helpings could also give you an extra helping in the bedroom, if you know what we mean.
The Pennington Biomedical Research Centre in Louisiana studied the diets of 218 healthy adults for two years. One group were randomly assigned to cut their caloric intake by 25%.
This group reported that their mood improved, their sex drive increased and that they even started to sleep better when compared to the control group.
So if you’ve been feeling listless in the libido department lately, maybe the answer isn’t the bedroom – but in the kitchen. Try eating 25% fewer calories than you currently do, no need to thank us if the switch pays dividends.
