This Movember SpeakEasy wants to empower men to have real conversations

After successful events across Australia, the Movember SpeakEasy is coming to Ireland

Hairy season is almost here, that time of year where moustaches start popping up everywhere- and all for a great cause. Yep, another Movember is just around the corner.

Movemeber raises awareness for men’s health issues, especially those related to mental health. That’s where the SpeakEasy comes in, a celebration of meaningful connection and the importance of talking to friends.

The team at the Movember Foundation are on a mission to give everyday guys, everyday pointers to be more open and deal with their problems- and to have some fun along the way. They’ve had successful sessions across Australia, often drawing in crowds of over 350 attendees.

The talks aim to normalise men’s feelings by increasing participants awareness of what those around them go through. They aim to arm attendees with tools to effectively support their friends, family and community while challenging traditional masculine norms.

You train your muscles at the gym, why not train for things like this? Take a look at the video below to get an idea of what it looks like.

Get involved, grow a ‘stache if you can, and bring some friends along on 18 October. Pick up the skills to speak easy and be as supportive as you can. As their slogan goes, whatever you grow will save a bro.

Register for Movember on the official site for all the latest Movember updates.
