Seven meals a day plus an unbelievable training regime. Easy, if you are Dwayne Johnson at least.

In the lead up to the release of his new movie Hercules, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has been posting to Instagram the various workouts he did to get in shape for the film.

Here, for example, is the arm one and just so you never skip leg day, here is the lower limb workout. And, if that is not enough for you, here is the back and chest regime too.

However, all that training is no good, and probably impossible, without a very strict diet to back it up. Johnson first posted the ’12 Labors Diet’ a year ago but with the movie almost in the cinema, he has reposted it in the style of the workouts.

To fuel that intense exercise programme, The Rock needed an equally intense diet and here it is.

The seven-meal monster is protein and calorie packed and would probably leave most of us needing a trip to the pharmacy after one day but the actor stuck to it for six months without a break.

Still, at least you now have the blueprint to look like Hercules so no more excuses…
