Pure and Simple Recipe of the Day: Broccoli & beef stir-fry

Arouse your taste buds.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 lb of steak, trimmed of fat and sliced thinly
  • 1/2 cup of soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of corn flour
  • 3 cloves of diced garlic
  • 3 tablespoons of sherry
  • 3 tablespoons of honey
  • 1 teaspoon of minced fresh ginger
  • 2 tablespoons of sesame oil
  • 1/2 cup of beef broth
  • one head of broccoli, cut into small florets

Instructions:

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, corn flour, garlic, sherry, honey, ginger, sesame oil and beef broth. Set aside until ready to use.
  • Heat the olive oil in a large frying pan and cook the steak until it starts to brown, about 4 to 5 minutes. Add sauce and stir in with the steak, it should start to thicken immediately. Add broccoli and cook for an additional 2 minutes until broccoli is tender and sauce is thickened.
  • Serve with rice or noodles.
