Quit to Fit Week 5: Missing that old feeling and getting past it

Woah, we’re halfway there!

We’re now slap bang in the middle of our 10-week Quit to Fit challenge. Before we go any further, congratulate yourself for making it this far.

Alright, enough back-slapping – now is no time to slow down.

What to expect?

Your cravings have subsided significantly as we go into the fifth week. While it’s important to remember that you’re doing incredibly well, you haven’t crossed the finish line just yet.

Our life coach Raul Aparici says that it’s at this point when it might cross your mind to reward yourself with a smoke. “You think you have it under control now.”

Instead of treating yourself to a smoke, look for another way to treat yourself. By now you’ve probably saved up a good few quid since you stopped buying pack after pack of cigarettes. Why not put those savings to good use and give yourself some well earned TLC? Go all out on a new console or maybe even a holiday.

Maybe pick up a new pair of runners, which could help you out with this week’s challenge.

The challenge

According to Raul, “there’s so much good stuff to look back on but there’s still some danger, so you don’t want to drop the ball now.” All this talk of keeping up the good work got us thinking about this week’s task.

After much deliberation, we settled on a keepy-uppy challenge. We want you to take to the back garden, give that ball that’s been lying idle a pump and get to it.

If there’s a bunch of you, maybe a game of heads and volleys could be on the cards.

Follow our teams’ progress on Twitter and Instagram using the hashtag #QuitToFit. Why not get involved and post your own updates using the hashtag!
