This study reveals which body type gets men the most sex

Bad news for some blokes...

It’s so hard to know what women look for in a man.

It doesn’t take a genius to know that women won’t like men who smell bad, refuse to take care of themselves or play the field but where sex is concerned, the issue of attraction it seems to be a lot more clear cut.

A new study has revelealed which type of man gets the most sex – and by that they mean ‘body type’.

More than 60,000 heterosexual men and women were polled by researchers at Chapman University to find out the amount of people that they had sex with along with their height and body mass.

The average number of sexual partners among everyone surveyed was eight. The bad news though was that men who were shorter than the average height reported to have slept with around five women, while very tall men had double that number.

“These findings confirm that height is relevant on the mating market,” said lead study author David Frederick, Ph.D. Women like tall men, well d’uh.

“However, the relatively limited variation in sex partner number for men across much of the height continuum is difficult to explain. Research has repeatedly shown than women prefer men who are relatively taller than they are.

“It is possible that for most women there is a certain minimal threshold of height, after which they will consider a male as a potential sex partner, and thus men above that height will end up with similar numbers of sex partners.”

The study gets even more interesting when looking at body mass index. Men in the middle of the BMI scale reported having the most sexual partners.

This was closely followed by men classified as ‘overweight’ (although this classification doesn’t take into account if a bloke has been bodybuilding).

Dr. Frederick explained “Men who appear somewhat larger, more powerful, or more athletic generally report more sexual experiences than other men.”
