Donegal beat Queen’s University 3-17 to 3-5 but the goal of the night came from the powerful right boot of Michael Murphy. Picking up the ball fully 35 yards from goal, the Glenswilly man moved forward a few steps before lashing a bullet of a shot past the keeper and into the top corner.
It really was a peach, a bit similar to his 2012 All-Ireland final goal in terms of ferocity, but from a much greater distance. Skip to 0.23 on the video to see it.
That’s fierce form to be in at this time of the year. The rest of the country should be very afraid…
