Closing an extremely controversial season that saw him leave his club for months on end, Carlos Tevez mocked title rivals and former team Manchester United in a shocking manner this evening.
After yesterday's breathless title win through two late goals from striker teammates Sergio Aguero and Edin Dzeko, it is Tevez who is sure to grab the headlines tomorrow for his celebrations during Manchester City's bus parade tonight.
Showing a shocking lack of tact in victory, the Argentinian could be seen on Sky Sports News tonight holding aloft a presumably fan-made sign which depicted a tombstone and carried the message 'RIP Fergie'.
Though the sign was surely meant to allude towards the death of Fergie's title-winning dominance as boss of Manchester United, it could easily be interpreted as carrying darker tones, hence it is surprising that Tevez chose to display it so brazenly.
Tevez's actions are sure to arouse the indignation of Manchester United fans, with plenty of Red Devils followers on Twitter already decrying the lack of class from the player by holding the sign, which will likely bring a degree of shame to an otherwise joyous occasion for Manchester City.
You can find video footage of tonight's celebrations (not including the Tevez sign) in the embedded clip below:
