We thought last month that a 17 year-old being a ball-boy was a bit much, how about a 41 year-old rapper being a mascot?

Last month Charlie Morgan catapulted himself – with a little thanks to Eden Hazard – into the limelight, but Snoop Dogg wants to push the boundaries of ridiculousness even further. The rapper has said that he wants to be the Bhoy’s mascot for the upcoming Champions League tie with Juventus.

Now going by the name Snoop Lion since his conversion to Rastafarianism , the American has said he wants to attend the game, but ideally to lead the team out.

“I need tickets but I want to walk out with the team like a little kid with the banner. Yes, yes, make it happen,” he is quoted as saying in The Daily Record.

And proof that Snoop is ‘Celtic til he dies’, he even knows the rallying cry uttered by all Celts in support of their beloved side.

“Hail, hail the Celts are here. Yabadabadoo!”

We can only imagine Snoop sauntering out ahead of the team at Parkhead hand-in-hand with Scott Brown.

Speaking from Dubai, Snoop also added he has ambitions to get onto the Celtic board, something he has mentioned in the past.

“I don’t need to run the club but I’d like enough of a percentage to get me on the board and be heard,” he said.

“I want to bring a bit of Snoop to things.”

We’re not sure what exactly that is, but we guess that it would make the board meetings a little more interesting.
