Joe Brolly gave us the first glimpse tonight of the ‘Opt for Life’ logo that will be emblazoned on the backs of Derry jerseys this summer.
By Declan Whooley
Last week we showed you Carlow's anti-suicide jerseys and this is another commendable step in the GAA, with the Oak-leaf county to have the logo of the 'Opt for Life' charity on the back of their shirt.
The Derry footballers will be first to show the new jersey off when they face Down on June 2nd while the hurlers will get their first run out on June 30th.
RTE pundit Brolly is a colourful character with his outspoken views, but there is no denying his brilliant work away from the game and has helped to raise awareness around organ donation since his recent kidney transplant to a club-mate in Belfast.

Dublin and the Kilkenny hurlers are expected to follow suit too and will help raise awareness even further.
Great touch for a great cause.
