Something had to break the mould, and Teeling did just that when it became Dublin’s first new distillery in over 125 years. Since setting up in 2012, it has become a common and popular sight in off licences and bars across Ireland.
The thing is though, the Teeling story doesn’t begin in 2012. It really began in 1782, when Teeling was part of Dublin’s “Golden Triangle,” in The Liberties’ distilling district.
Marrowbone Lane was where it all started for Walter Teeling in the 18th Century, and the new distillery is only up the road. Teeling’s proud legacy is what drives the brand, and a massive part of the distillery tour focuses on that fascinating history.
