Abercrombie & Fitch CEO Mike Jeffries said last week that he “doesn't want larger people shopping in his store” and that naturally caused quite a stir.

While he did try and justify his comments afterwards – if one can possibly justify such a thing – the statement caused a great deal of debate and anger and this video was borne out of such frustration.

LA writer Greg Karber launched an online campaign to undermine the brand's "cool kids" image and since the video was posted to YouTube on Monday it has received over half a million views.

Handing out the clothes to a poor area of East Lost Angeles , Karber says that people were reluctant at first to accept the free clothes.

“Perhaps they were afraid of being perceived as narcissist date rapists” he suggests.

Here the video that is proving to be a global hit.
