See ya Shaggy: Top Five Shane Horgan moments

Edin Dzeko has been doing all sorts of charity work recently, so he was the outstanding candidate for Hero of the Week. It was a landslide!

Earlier this week we got a look at some of the charity work that Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko has been doing in the community with the brilliant story about him helping out the young Bosnian kid in hospital in Manchester.

Today we also found out that he's auctioning two shirts he wore on match day up on eBay with all the profits going to charity, class act. The charity of his choice is an orphanage back in Bosnia in his home town of Sarajevo.

So when the JOE offices had a vote on their hero of the week, there was only one answer: Edin Dzeko, the striker with a heart of gold.

It might seem a little bit ike we're overstating it, but there are far too many stories of footballers and other athletes getting themselves into trouble and being, in general, not very nice, so when someone like Dzeko who gets paid top dollar to play at one of the richest clubs in the world shows he's got a really nice side, you have to applaud it.

On the pitch, Dzeko seems like a pretty decent guy too, and even though he's been seemingly stuck with the label of super-sub, he never really complains too much about it, just keeps his head down and gets goals for the team. He hasn't taken a page out of Carlos Tevez's book and gone off playing golf in checked trousers instead.

Dzeko is also a UNICEF ambassador, the first one to come from his home country of Bosnia, so he spends his down time visiting places that have been affected by the war in Bosnia, like schools and orphanages.

Overall, we're finding it pretty hard to come up with any reason why you could dislike the big man up front for City, even if you are a Manchester United fan. Here's hoping we see more of him in the starting line-up too.
