Man City and Birmingham's goalless draw was one of three stalemate encounters in the Premier League today while, Tottenham, Wigan and Bolton all won.

Man City 0-0 Birmingham

Man City fans jeered their players as they left the field after a dour performance at home to Birmingham. The visitors made life very difficult for Roberto Mancini’s men, restricting them to half chances for the most part. James Milner went closest when his effort was cleared off the line by Steven Carr in the first minute of the second half.

Newcastle 0-0 Fulham

No goals but an entertaining contest nonetheless at St James’ Park as Fulham still have to manage their first away win of the season. The best chance of the game fell to Fulham, for whom Moussa Dembele hit the bar with a close-range volley from substitute Dickson Etuhu's knock-down.

Tottenham 4-2 Blackburn

Gareth Bale scored twice in Tottenham’s drumming of Blackburn at White Hart Lane. The in-form winger scored one in each half while Roman Pavlyuchenko and Peter Crouch also got on the score sheet. Blackburn substitute David Dunn and Gael Givet scored consolation goals inside the final 10 minutes.

West Ham 0-0 Blackpool

West Ham remain rooted to the bottom of the Premier League after they drew stalemate with Blackpool. Ian Holloway made 11 changes to his side today as the hosts dominated the first half. They were denied a penalty when Craig Cathcart used an arm to block Victor Obinna's vicious volley.

Wigan 1-0 West Brom

A Victor Moses goal keeps Wigan out of the relegation zone as high-flying West Brom were edged out at the JJB Stadium. The only goal of the game came in the 70 minute from Moses who came on as a second half substitute.

Wolves 2-3 Bolton

Bolton nicked all three points from Wolves at the Molineux in a dramatic five-goal contest. The visitors led at half-time through Richard Stearman’s first minute own goal. On 62 minutes Wanderers were two up thanks to a gem from Johan Elmander. It was three nil five minutes later via Stuart Holden’s strike, however, Wolves made a comeback through goals from Kevin Foley and Steven Fletcher.
