Here’s what you can expect, brought you by the new Fiat 500X.
Once you leave your local area, you’ll get disastrously lost and everywhere will look the EXACT same.
Your passenger will read the map wrong or type in the wrong location into the SatNav.
When you finally pull over to get directions, you won’t understand a single word.
Then, when you give up all hope, you’ll realise where you are.
Somebody will suggest putting on the radio.
Which, of course, leads to the impromptu sing-along. “Don’t stop belieeeeeeeeev-in”.
Which is interrupted by that one person that needs a toilet break every 10 minutes.
Somebody will send a request into to a radio show. When the DJ reads it, everyone will get ridiculously excited. Overly so… it’s only a song people.
There will be at least one ice-cream stop, because… well, just because.
And when you reach your destination everyone will feel like they’ve just had a life-affirming experience.
So there you have it, the 10 things you can definitely expect if you ever go on an Irish road trip. Just watch out for the potholes.
