As winds reached a staggering 155 km/h last night, Storm Eleanor caused havoc throughout the country.
And although the winds are decreasing - a status orange weather warning still remains in place for many counties until 2pm today.
Last night over 57,000 homes were without power last night and today a staggering 27,000 homes continue to struggle without power as the ESB work to return power this morning.
