WATCH: This time-lapse video shows just how busy Irish airspace is every 24 hours

This is quite spectacular.

The Irish Aviation Authority have released a video which shows just how busy the airspace is over the country in the space of just 24 hours.

With over 300 air traffic controllers operating out of Dublin, Shannon, and Cork, a combination of radio, radar, and on-board aircraft systems are used to make sure everything runs smoothly.

We see a specific close-up on Dublin airport at peak times, and with over 30 million passengers passing through Dublin airport each year (or a little under 83,000 per day on average), it is clear why there is such lit up activity around the capital.

Watching the entire thing play out, we can’t help but feel that it needs to be projected on to a wall in someone’s bedroom to help them sleep.

Or at the very least, it could be used as some kind of art instillation…
