Finn was stolen from his owners’ garden on December 7.

The owners of a dog in Monaghan have offered a reward of €5,000 for his return after he was stolen from their garden in Ballybay in Monaghan earlier this month.

Finn, a 2-year old male boxer, was stolen from his garden in Ballybay on Wednesday, December 7 and has not been seen since. His collar was left at the gate of the home of his owners, Joy and Bernard Borchert.

Joy and Bernard have contacted the local Gardaí, who have told them they have hope Finn will be returned. Speaking to JOE, Joy said that she also contacted the Gardaí after she was called by a man on a private number who claimed to have Finn and threatened to hang him from a tree if he didn’t receive €15,000.

Joy and Bernard have offered a reward of €5,000 for Finn’s return and have also set up Facebook and Twitter pages in an effort to locate him, but their efforts have proved fruitless thus far. At the time of writing, the Facebook page has been liked by just under 26,000 people.

If anyone has any information on Finn’s whereabouts, they can contact Joy on (086) 0558265 or on the Bring Finn Home Facebook page.
