A fantastic achievement.

Five new restaurants in Ireland and Northern Ireland will appear in the official 2019 Michelin Guide, having been revealed as recipients of Bib Gourmand awards ahead of the official launch of the guide.

Though not as prestigious as a Michelin star, a Bib Gourmand is awarded to restaurants deemed to offer ‘exceptionally good food at moderate prices’, ensuring that diners will most certainly get bang for their buck.

Five restaurants in Ireland and Northern Ireland were identified as new recipients of a Bib Gourmand and they merit inclusion alongside the crème de la crème of restaurants in the UK and Ireland when the guide is officially released.

Clenaghans in Aghalee, Lisburn is the only restaurant from Northern Ireland to be added but in terms of the other Irish restaurants, there’s good representation across the counties.

Clanbrassil House (Dublin), Tartare (Galway), Dillon’s (Timoleague, Cork), and Brownes (Tuam, Galway) complete this list of new Irish additions.

In terms of the overall list of Irish restaurants that comprise the 2019 Michelin Guide, here they are.

If you’re looking for somewhere good to eat, these places might take your fancy.

Congratulations to all that made the prestigious list.
