A very sad and very beautiful tale.

Many of you will have heard of the man known as Mattress Mick. Self-described as “Ireland’s craziest salesman,” he doesn’t take himself too seriously and has appeared in a number of fairly wacky ads to promote his furniture business in Dublin in the past. See Exhibit A below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XhVV-E0k57c Clip via ShootAudition This evening, he showed himself in a completely different light, sharing a story of love and loss on the Humans of Dublin Facebook page as he recounted a phone call with his first love shortly before she passed away from cancer. Mick told of how he shared a conversation with the woman in question in the same week that she passed away, describing it as “the nicest phone call I had ever received in my life”.
