Prosecco

Heaven for anyone that loves their bubbly.

Whenever you’re with your mates, do you ever finish the night by making plans that none of you will ever stick to?

Well, if you’re a little bit flaky and want to lock a definite date in, prosecco-lovers will be delighted to know that Cork will be hosting Ireland’s first ever Festival of Prosecco.

The festival will be hosted across The Metropole Hotel, Cork International Hotel and The Bluehaven Kinsale throughout the month of May.

Events will include masterclasses on how prosecco is made, a Prosecco cocktail making class, and a tasting event.

Organiser of the Festival of Prosecco, Sandra Murphy, has said: “ The events will bring a boost for tourism in the city, as we are seeing significant interest from people from all around Ireland who wish to attend. In addition to tasting some wonderful Prosecco over the month, there will also be so much to learn at the masterclasses such as how Prosecco is made and where it comes from.”

The Cork International Hotel will have a prosecco station for the full month of May at their Sunday buffet and they will also have a special prosecco cocktail menu on offer for the month.

Tickets for the various events at the festival are available here.
