The weekend’s weather is actually pretty dang good

Weekend Weather

You know what? We’ll take it.

We’re barreling our way towards winter now, so we’re expecting the weather to take a terminal turn for the worse any day now.

But apparently, this weekend is set to be… acceptable.

Saturday morning will begin with a few showers, but by afternoon, sunny spells will have broken through in the west and northwest. The showers may continue in the east and south, with temperatures of 10 to 14 degrees.

According to Met Éireann, Sunday is set to be the real money day: “Sunday will be a dry day with sunshine,” their forecast reads. “Temperatures during the afternoon will range between 11 and 14 degrees and winds will be mainly moderate northerly.”

It will be a bit colder at night, with mists developing, but you should be in bed by then, so who cares?

Monday is also set to deliver, at least a little bit, with forecasts showing “a mainly dry day with some sunshine breaking through,” with the south getting the best of it.

So over the next three days we should all get a nice share of October sunshine. Fair play to everyone involved, it’s well deserved.
