Well, that's exactly what you'll be doing if you go along to the Fundraising Comedy Gala with Deirdre O'Kane at Whelan's on Saturday November 22. Among the acts performing on the night will be Deirdre herself, Karl Spain, Fred Cooke, Colm O’Regan, Gearoid Farrelly, Eleanor Tiernan, Chris Kent and Today FM’s Dermot Whelan. We reckon that's money very well spent. Enjoy a film festival in Kilkenny SUBTITLE is a wonderful film festival which takes place in the beautiful surroundings of Kilkenny every November. They showcase some of the best films Europe has to offer and usually have a few star names hanging around the place looking to catch a flick or two. The Angela European Film Awards are held their on the closing night of the festival. Game of Thrones star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and The Hobbit's Mikael Persbrandt are both past winners. So travel to the Marble city from November 24-30 to watch some of Europe's best film making and maybe catch a star or two. More info is available here.
