PICS: Actress Ellen Page was in Dublin to support a Repeal the 8th rally and protest against Trump

The Oscar nominated actress was surrounded by some “inspiring” Irish people.

Donald Trump’s victory over Hillary Clinton has resulted in a series of protests across America but the fact remains, Trump will almost certainly become the 45th president of the US.

Given the power and influence that the White House has on global political affairs, these anti-Trump protests haven’t been confined to the US though and a protest occurred this afternoon on O’Connell Street, Dublin.

Earlier this afternoon, the pro-choice activist group  ROSA (Reproductive rights, against Oppression, Sexism and Austerity) held a rally where they protested against sexism, racism, homophobia & the rule of the 1%. Regarding celebrity activism on the issue of Repeal the 8th, Page isn’t the first famous face to support the pro-choice campaign – Cillian Muprhy and Hozier have previously provided their support.

Page is currently in Dublin and the star of Juno, Inception and X-Men was happy to lend her support to those pro-choice protesters.

She also sent a message on Twitter, stating that she was very impressed by the “welcoming, rad and inspiring” people around her.
