Air France announce new direct routes from Cork to Paris

Rory Cashin

That is your Valentine’s Day present sorted!

As part of a series of new destinations now reachable directly from Paris’ Charles de Gaulle airport, folk in Cork can now fly directly to the French capital with Air France.

Oui, it’s true!

While you can book the flights now on their webiste, the actual service itself will be seasonal, running from May 26 to October 27.

The flight will depart daily from Cork at 4.30pm and landing in Paris at 7.20pm (local time), with the returning leg departing Paris at 3.55pm (local time) and arriving at Cork at 3.50pm.

Fares are starting from €129 return in economy including all taxes, and if you’re wondering why you might take Air France over another, local airline, then keep in mind that, like we said, Cork is only one of the new additions to the routes.

So while you could very well fly directly to and then stay in Paris from Cork, you could also use it as a stop-over on the way to one of the other new destinations to the airline, including direct flights to the Seychelles, Taipei and Catania.

Anyone else suddenly in the mood to book a sunny holiday??
