“Arseways” – Irish people try to explain uniquely-Irish phrases

Oisin Collins

We really do have some great phrases and words here in Ireland.

If you speak casually to someone from a different country for more than a few minutes, you’ll realise that we really do have more than our fair share of colloquial phrases in the Irish lexicon and explaining yourself usually takes more time than whatever it was you said in the first place.

So the good folk from YouTube channel Facts. took to the streets of Dublin to ask Irish people to explain some uniquely Irish phrases.

The answers are brilliant, especially at the 3:08 mark.
