Attempting to unravel the #JusticeForBradsWife phenomenon currently sweeping the internet

Rory Cashin

Okay, we’re about to do a deep-dive here. A proper Spotlight-esque expose. You ready? Deep breath, here we go…

In America, there is a chain of southern-themed restaurants and stores known as Cracker Barrel (you may well be aware of their cheeses!), and during the week they fired an employee.

That employee’s husband, Brad, get on to the Cracker Barrell Facebook page to ask why they had fired his wife after eleven years of service. And on his birthday, no less!

And from there it all just kind of… kicked off.

Of course, this being the internet, and Cracker Barrel being a very modern company, they have other forms of social media to promote themselves on, and therefore other forms of social media for people to continue the quest for #JusticeForBradsWife…

A petition was set up on Change.org, requiring 10,000 signatures for it to be sent to Cracker Barrel’s head office in order to get answers.

At the time of writing, the petition had 22,500 signatures and counting.

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again. Never change, internet. Never change.
