A luxury resort in The Bahamas is offering one lucky person an absolute dream job

Rory Cashin

Your 9 to 5 won’t feel so bad when you wake up in paradise every morning.

In the depths of this apparently endless Irish winter, the thoughts of working in an actual tropical island probably sounds pretty sweet right now.

You’ll be happy to hear that the Baha Mar Luxury Resort in the Bahamas have one new amazing position which will pretty much allow you live your best life, getting your tan on in actual slice of nirvana.

Essentially, the resort is looking for a Chief Flamingo Officer, and the position is open to people from all over the globe.

If you happen to have a degree in zoology, as well as five years experience with exotic birds, then you could be working with the resort’s Chief Scientist, Vanessa Haley-Benjamin at the Baha Mar Ecological, Aquatic Conservation Habitat Sanctuary (BEACH Sanctuary), and the goal there is to protect and preserve wildlife in the Bahamas.

The flamingos will be housed in their own “Flamingo Mansion” (sounds fancy), while the successful applicant will be spending a lot of time spent with the Baha Mar Explorer’s Club for kids, where they will lead programs that teach resort guests about the birds.

So if you reckon you’ve got what it takes, you can head to the application page right here, and the applications for the position will be accepted until Wednesday 28 February. Best of luck!
