Fyffes Bananas Ltd in Swords are looking for a Senior Banana Ripener to handle "the pressure and responsibilities that go along with this front line time-sensitive position."
Such responsibilities include ripening and "planning" bananas under the watchful eye of the Ripening Manager, while delivering the correct quantity of peak condition bananas to meet demand.
Fyffes are after someone who is computer literate with strong communication skills and a good understanding of the English language, as well as a "hands-on approach" which you'd imagine is a given, really.
The job listing doesn't say anything about needing to
love bananas, necessarily, but you have to think that such affection for the fruit would give you an edge.
