Here’s a perfect Father’s Day present for any beer-loving Dads

JOE

Brought to you by Open Gate Brewery.

A Father’s Day present with a difference.

Are you struggling to find the perfect present for your Dad ahead of Father’s Day? Maybe you’ve been buying him socks for the last 10 years and you want to surprise him for a change.

Well, if your father enjoys trying out exciting new beers, then The Open Gate Brewery has you covered. Learn about beer, try some new flavours and get in some father/son bonding time on this Father’s Day. Set in the heart of St James’s Gate, it’s stocked with a beery treasure trove of saisons, sours, IPAs and innovative new recipes.

This is a chance to sup on experimental brews before they even hit the market. Some will make it to your local or bars across the world, while others will never travel past the walls of the brewery.

Tickets to the brewery are just €8 each and include a tasting paddle of beers so you can try out a few new flavours before committing to a pint.

COMPETITION: Win tickets to watch Ireland v Australia at the Open Gate Brewery and enjoy free beer and food

The current selection of beers on offer includes the likes of Nitro IPA, Citra IPA, Nutty Red Ale, Milk Stout, Vienna Lager and Caramel Ale. It also includes timeless classics like Guinness Draught and Hop House 13 if you want to play it safe. There’s more to the brewery than just its great beers.

There’s also a varied food menu designed to complement the drinks that are on offer. A team of Guinness Beer Specialists are on hand to tell you what dishes compliment what drinks, to chat about the beers on offer and maybe even let you in on a few brewing tips and secrets.

The Open Gate Brewery opened early for the first Summer Series match between Australia and Ireland last weekend and it will be showing the two remaining games on 16 and 23 June. So if your Dad happens to be a big rugby fan, you could even treat him to one of the Summer Series packages.

That certainly beats a pair of socks or a set of razors.

The Open Gate Brewery is open from Thursday and Friday from 5:30pm to 10:30pm and Saturdays from 2pm to 8pm. Tickets are priced at €8 each and include a tasting paddle. To purchase tickets, visit the website.

Keep an eye on the website for special events and sports viewing. Strictly over 18s. Enjoy Guinness Sensibly. Visit www.drinkaware.ie
