Fair play to them, this is a wonderful initiative.

With December quickly approaching, people in Ireland are making their Christmas plans but for many people, the festive season is a difficult time.

For anyone that might be living near Belfast and who’s alone on Christmas Day, Bengal Brasserie on the Ormeau Road is providing a free meal on 25 December.

Luthfur Ahmed, owner of the restaurant, has extended the very kind invitation for those that may need some company, or a warm meal.

In a post to the restaurant’s official Facebook page, the owners states, “Luthfur Ahmed would like to invite all those who find them self [sic] on their own at Christmas to join him and the staff at Bengal Brasserie, Ormeau Road on Wednesday, 25 December 2019 to share a Christmas meal.”

The restaurant will be open from 12-8pm and if anyone is interested in attending, they’re urged to call 02890647516 to reserve a place.

Bengal Brasserie is an award-winning (Irish Curry Awards 2016) Indian restaurant in Belfast, and it has been in business for almost 30 years.

Fair play to the owners and staff for this extremely kind invitation.
