The World Travel Awards took place in the last few days, naming the best of the best around the world.
Among the Irish winners are the World's Best Distillery Tour, as well as the very best suite in the entire country (as well as the best suite in the entire world!).
But moving up from individual rooms to entire buildings, the ceremony also announced the very best hotel in the entire world.
The nominees who didn't quite take the top spot are as follows:

However, the 2018 winner - the same establishment that previously won this award back in 2015 - is Adare Manor in Limerick.

Meanwhile, on a global scale, Adare Manor didn't make that shortlist, with hotels from Turkey, Kenya, Mexico, UAE, Hong Kong, the USA, India, Ecuador and more up for nomination, but ultimately, the World's Leading Hotel Award was given to Armani Hotel Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
