There were plenty of winners at the 2017 Gold Medal Awards in association with Hotel & Catering Review magazine on Tuesday.
Ashford Castle in Mayo were the big winners on the night and took home the prestigious award for Ireland’s Guest Experience as well as the award for Ireland’s Five Star Hotel.
If you’re into something slightly less low key but still pretty darn nice, the Malton Killarney took home the award for the Four Star Hotel.
While the Three Star Award went to the Headfort Arms Hotel in Meath.
In one of the most sought after and hotly contested categories, the award for Ireland’s Favourite Place To Stay went to Castle Leslie Estate in Monaghan.
The Gold Medal Awards are currently in their 29th year, and each entrant is evaluated by members of the judging panel who travel the length and breadth of the country over the course of the summer months to search for Ireland’s greatest purveyors of hospitality.
Over 450 professionals from the hospitality industry were in attendance at the event in Lyrath Estate Hotel in Kilkenny.
