Boojum

So delicious and so fresh.

Ah, Boojum. An absolute favourite for when we’re craving some Mexican dishes.

Back before lockdown, it was one of our staple foods – we’d never have much time elapse before returning for one their burritos or their fajitas or their tacos. Yum, we’re drooling just thinking about it.

However, since lockdown, those of us that live that bit farther away from the Mexican restaurant have really been missing their dishes. Even if we’re technically within the delivery distance, some of us are far enough away that the food is often starting to get cold by the time it reaches us.

Well, Boojum has heard our cries and they have responded with the perfect solution: Boojum at Home.

This is their brand-new delivery service that delivers delicious meal kits right to your door with all of the ingredients needed for Boojum’s famous dishes. All you need to do is heat them up. Fifteen minutes later and you’ll have a scrumptious, piping hot Boojum meal ready for devouring.

The first meal kit that they’ve launched is their famous Mexican fajitas. They can be ordered online on the Boojum website and can be delivered direct to homes right across the island of Ireland with everything you need for a convenient, fun Mexican meal night. So now, no matter where you are in Ireland, you can enjoy the deliciousness that is Boojum.

The meal kits come with Boojum’s marinated chicken, peppers, onion, signature Mexican savoury rice, tortillas, grated cheese, sour cream and freshly-made Tomato Salsa and Salsa Verde – the very same ingredients the Boojum chefs use in-store.

Everything is delivered in Woolcool eco-friendly packaging, which we love. It’s sustainable, recyclable, compostable and biodegradable and the food pouches used within the kit are also 100% recyclable.

David Maxwell, the Managing Director of Boojum, said:

“Our new Boojum at Home meal kits offer Boojum fans right across the island of Ireland the chance to order everything they need to recreate the Boojum experience at home. This is a completely new way for us to make sure Boojum fans and first timers can sample our dishes anywhere, anytime. And, we promise that what you get delivered are the very same restaurant quality ingredients used in our kitchens with the same bold, fresh flavours of Boojum.

Plans for Boojum at Home have been brewing for a while now, but the lockdown gave us the opportunity to bring them to life. We think it’s the right time for Boojum to launch a product like this; there’s been an increase in the number of people cooking at home and making their meal occasions more of an experience due to the restrictions. With the meal kits, anyone can prepare a healthy, fresh Mexican meal for family or friends and it doesn’t mater what part of the island you live in.”

The Boojum at Home Mexican Fajita Meal costs €23.99 plus €4.50 for delivery and it serves four people. Each meal comes with a menu card which outlines how to prepare and cook your meal in eight simple steps.
