Ten of their pharmacies across Ireland have introduced the new Travel Vaccination Service.
The feeling of finally booking a trip away never gets old, especially when it’s somewhere particularly unique or exotic. Even on the grimmest days at work or college, having that light at the end of the tunnel is more than enough to get you through.
The one problem with booking a trip to somewhere far-flung like Thailand or Vietnam is having to think about travel health and getting the recommended travel vaccinations.
And if you’re like us, getting vaccinated is not the best way to get into the holiday mood…
If you’re visiting somewhere new and exotic where vaccinations are recommended, you can now get them at Boots through their brand-new Travel Vaccination Service. They are the first pharmacy in Ireland to offer a service like this and with many of their stores offering late night and weekend opening hours, getting the recommended vaccinations will be a lot easier for many people.
The service, which launched on Wednesday, 24 April, is available in the following nationwide stores:
- Waterford
- Shop Street, Galway
- Sligo
- Killarney
- Half Moon Street, Cork
- Childers Retail Park, Limerick
Those based in Dublin can also opt for these stores:
- Liffey Valley Shopping Centre
- Stephen’s Green SC
- Carrickmines
- Swords
To get your vaccinations you simply go into one of the participating stores or book your vaccination appointment online on www.boots.ie/travel-vaccination-service.
Before your appointment you’ll need to complete an initial pre-travel consultation with a doctor who’ll give you a prescription for the recommended vaccinations. The doctor’s consultation can be completed online. Following this, your vaccinations can be administered by a specially-trained Boots pharmacist in one of the 10 participating pharmacies.
Getting the recommended vaccinations before your trip has never been easier. All you have to do now is pack and plan!
