Irish bosses encouraged to allow workers to participate in Bring Your Puppy To Work Day this week

The Dogs Trust Ireland initiative is part of a wider push to make the nation more canine-friendly.

While dog-friendly offices, shops and restaurants are slowly becoming the done thing, there are still, unfortunately, a number of places across the country that don’t cater to man’s best friend.

And it seems that employers may be missing a trick, as dogs in the workplace have been proven to reduce employee stress levels as well as boost morale quite spectacularly.

However, that could all change.

Company bosses across Ireland have been urged to allow their employees to bring their pets to the office on Friday, June 22 for a one-off Bring Your Dog To Work Day.

The initiative is being promoted by the Dogs Trust in an attempt to make Ireland a more canine-friendly country.

The day that’s in it is part of a broader campaign taking place for the first time in Ireland on Friday, called ‘Dog Friendly Ireland Day’.

The Dogs Trust has called on establishments of all types, including restaurants, hotels and public transport operators, to allow canines to have access to their premises for the day.

In a post on the ISPCA’s Facebook page, they also mentioned that they’re planning “something special” for the day that’s in it, and people should follow their social media channels to see what it is.

What a time to be alive.
