Bus Éireann has issued an apology for the posters.

In the last week, social media users have noted the presence of posters in Limerick with regards to changes to the timetable for services in the county.

While that might sound helpful, it turns out that there was no actual information on the posters, and the customers were simply advised to visit the Bus Éireann website, or call the phone number.

Commentators on Twitter pointed out that it surely would have made more sense simply to print the revised timetables.

Local election candidate for the Green Party Breandán Anraoi MacGabhann took Bus Éireann to task on the matter over social media, writing: “You know, it might have been more useful to print copies of the actual timetables and put them on the bus stops.”

An apology from Bus Éireann was published in the Limerick Leader today: “Bus Éireann accept that the publicity for the Limerick city timetable changes introduced on May 12  2019 was not satisfactory and we apologise for any inconvenience that this may have caused.”
