Every year, people keep asking and every year, he delivers the same response.
You’re probably already well aware, but today, 8 March, is International Women’s Day.
As is the case every year, it is a day to pay tribute to the female figures in your life and to commemorate the struggles that women have endured to achieve equality throughout history.
As is also the case every year without fail, however, some men feel the need to question why there is no such thing as an International Men’s Day and those men aren’t shy of asking that question aloud, or on social media at least.
If they had bothered to check, they’ll know that there is such a thing as International Men’s Day and it falls every year on 19 November, but thankfully, there is a man who spends a large chunk of his day putting that select group of menfolk in their place.
That man is stand-up comedian Richard Herring, who, as well as highlighting the existence of International Men’s Day, is also helping to raise funds for Refuge, a charity seeking to end domestic violence against women and children while he’s at it.
As you can see below, Richard is doing the Lord’s work and it looks like he has a very busy day ahead of him yet.

The theme for International Women’s Day 2018, meanwhile, is
#PressforProgress, which notes global activism in the form of movements such as #MeToo and #TimesUp and the movement for gender parity, which is still 200 years away according to the World Economic Forum 2017 Global Gender Gap report.
