PICS: Dublin’s Café en Seine is set to reopen and it’s going to look very different

Paul Moore

The venue will reopen very soon with a new design.

The popular Dublin venue Café en Seine will reopen its doors this November.

Established in 1993, the Dawson Street venue was one of the more popular locations for people in the capital and the owners have announced that it will reopen with a newly designed space.

The redesigned venue will be spread across seven areas, with each bar serving everything from local favourites to high end beers, spirits and cocktails.

As you can see below, they’ll be introducing an indoor-outdoor street garden to the venue.

The botanical bar and dining area will have its own entrance on Anne’s Lane to the rear of the building. The Parisian-inspired, conservatory-style garden will be suitable for the pesky Irish weather conditions because it’s going to feature a retractable glass roof.

Aside from the drinks that will be on offer, there’s also going to be an extensive food menu which caters for a range of tastes and events.

The menu will feature several dining options including; ‘at the bar’ sharing plates for those who are looking for a casual food experience and a bespoke à la carte menu for those who want to enjoy a meal in the newly designated restaurant.

David Murray, Café en Seine’s General Manager, said: “A lot of thought, research and planning has gone in to the re-design of Café en Seine. We are one of Dublin’s most iconic venues and we want to continue that legacy for many years to come.”

He adds: “The new Café en Seine will offer the same great service that we are famous for. To add to this, we have re-imagined the space to ensure it caters for the modern customer. Everything from the venue layout, to the food offering to the drinks service has the customer in mind. We look forward to opening the doors this November welcoming a new era for Café en Seine, its staff and its customers.”
