It's been a pretty good year for Dublin star James McCarthy. He claimed his seventh Leinster title. He won his fifth All-Ireland title and helped Dublin achieve a historic three-in-a-row.
And as if that wasn't enough, he was also named Man of the Match in the final and Footballer of the Year by the Sunday Game panel. Not a bad year, all things considered!
Dublin fans will be able to meet the man himself when he helps Linders Turvey to celebrate their first birthday at their Turvey Avenue branch on Saturday, 7 October. He'll be signing jerseys and footballs on the day so it's an opportunity to meet one of the stars of this incredible Dublin team in the flesh and get a pretty neat GAA memento.
He'll also be bringing the Sam Maguire Cup with him so fans can see the cup, meet the man everyone's talking about, and enjoy a great day of family fun at the birthday bash. For younger GAA fans, it's a chance to meet their GAA hero and come away with a memory that they'll never forget.
Things will kick off at 11am on Saturday and there'll also be face painting, food and drinks to enjoy. Linders Turvey are extending an open invitation to people to join them on the day to help them celebrate their first birthday.
So gather up your Dublin jerseys, throw your footballs into the car and round up the kids. It promises to be a great day's craic.
