Give the person responsible for this headline the rest of the week off.
Last week, as you may recall, the figures for the 2016 Census were released and
included the population details for every county in the Republic of Ireland.
The breakdown of the figures included details such as the average age, religious beliefs, gender and nationality of people in each individual county and it was interesting to see that in Carlow, for example, the number of females in the county outnumbered the males by a margin of just two (28,467 to 28,465).
The almost identical division of men and women in the county was picked up by the Carlow People this week, who published by far our favourite local newspaper headline of the year so far to publicise the news.
