Should make a huge difference to anyone who uses the M11.

There was a time (not that long ago), where we didn’t have motorways, never mind service stations on motorways. It seems as if we’re finally catching up with the rest of the world however, with Circle K’s largest ever service station now open or business just off the M11 near Gorey, County Wexford.

Particularly good news for any fans of the yellow bellies making the trip to Croke Park this summer…

The service station opened on Thursday, 28 March, and the local area is set to be boosted by the creation of 40 new jobs on top of the 2,300 on these shores already employed by Circle K Ireland. It’s expected to cater for up to a whopping 20,000 motorists per day.

As well as having a McDonald’s restaurant and cafés, the service station has its own dedicated Fáilte Ireland tourist information desk and fast-charge points for electric vehicles.

Gorey’s massive new service station is a big part of Circle K’s €35 million plan to open four new sites in Ireland. The first of these sites is located at Kill North on the N7 and opened just last December with further new site openings scheduled in Kildare and Athlone.

If you’re feeling lucky, your first trip to Wexford’s newest service station could include a discount on fuel or a free cup of coffee. As we announced last week, they are giving away €500,000 worth of free stuff to mark one year in Ireland.

The new service station boasts a range of superb offerings including Circle K’s miles and milesPLUS advanced premium fuels, and dedicated pumps for AdBlue and Gasoil customers. Also available are Circle K’s renowned and extensive deli food range, Mexican street food offer “Cantina”; a fully serviced barista offering exciting new innovations in the areas of frozen drinks and ice cream, and their own specialty coffee Simply Great Coffee.
